Hoosiers by the Numbers is maintained by the Research and Analysis division of the Indiana Department of Workforce Development and provides data and tools to support the department's twin goals of:

• Aggressively empowering Indiana workers to become a highly-skilled, competitive workforce
• Providing premier customer service to all internal and external customers

As a partner in the state data initiative, Information for Indiana, Research & Analysis is committed to closing major gaps in the state's collection, analysis and dissemination of data and to providing high-quality data and analysis for informed decision making by job seekers, policy makers, economic developers and other stakeholders in Indiana's economy and labor market.

We continually strive to improve the accuracy, detail and timeliness of our data series and to develop new products in response to user demand. Many of our data series are produced in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics or Employment and Training Administration and are comparable across states or to national data for the same series.
