Custom Region Builder

The Custom Region Builder allows users to create a customized region for data analysis using selected counties.

Currently, it is available for General Population, Household Makeup, Unemployment Claims, Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, Local Area Unemployment Statistics, Affirmative Action, the Comparison and Time Series options of the Population by Age, and the Overview option of the Building Permits topic.

After making your selections in the Custom Region Builder, when you return to your topic, hit the "Refresh" button in your browser. This will ensure that your region displays in the Select Geography dropdown. Then select "Custom Region" in the General Area dropdown and the name of your customized region in the Select Geography dropdown.
